About The EMT Course
Our comprehensive Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the dynamic field of emergency medical services. Our curriculum covers a wide range of essential topics, including:

Whether you’re a dedicated newcomer or seeking to advance your existing medical career, our program offers a pathway to achieving certification as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. This program is accredited by the Nevada Commission on Post Secondary Education and the Southern Nevada Health District. Upon successful completion of the Emergency Medical Technician program, students will be eligible to take the National Registry AEMT certification exam.
Program Structure
Experience our AEMT course, thoughtfully designed as a 17-week hybrid journey. Embrace 72 hours of online classroom engagement, complemented by 85 immersive hands-on skills labs. Elevate your learning further through 24 hours of hospital emergency room clinical rotation. With a weekly meeting over 17 weeks, we invite you to delve into the dynamic world of Advanced Emergency Medical Technician training.
Program Requirements
Our clinical partners have very strict requirements in order to do clinical rotations in their facilities. Failure to follow the directions outlined in this document will result in removal from the EMT program. In order to perform your clinical rotations you will have to complete the following:
- Recent 2 Step tuberculosis testing within 6 months of the first day of class
- Background check through Precheck within thirty days after course start
- Drug screen within thirty days after course start
- Valid driver license
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Current health insurance
- Appropriate immunizations

Refund Policy
- If Guardian Elite Medical Services has substantially failed to furnish the training program agreed upon in the Enrollment Agreement, Guardian Elite Medical Services will issue a refund to a student for all money the student has paid.
- If a student cancels their enrollment before the start of the training program, the institution shall refund to the student all the money the student has paid, minus 10% of the tuition agreed upon in the Enrollment Agreement or $150, whichever is less.
- If a student withdraws or is expelled from Guardian Elite Medical Services after the start of the training program and before the completion of more than 60% of the program, Guardian Elite Medical Services will issue a refund to the student a pro rata amount of the tuition agreed upon in the Enrollment Agreement, minus 10% of the tuition agreed upon in the Enrollment Agreement or $150; whichever is less.
- If a refund is owed, Guardian Elite Medical Services shall pay the refund to the person or entity who paid the tuition within 15 calendar days after the:
- Date of cancellation by a student of his or her enrollment;
- Date of termination by the institution of the enrollment of a student;
- Last day of an authorized leave of absence if a student failed to return after the period of authorized absence; or
- Last day of attendance of a student; whichever is applicable.
- Books, educational supplies, or equipment for individual use are not included in the policy for refund. These items may be eligible for refund if these items were not used by the student. Disputes will be resolved by the Administrator for the Commission on Postsecondary Education on a case by case basis.
- For the purposes of the refund policy:
- The period of a student’s attendance must be measured from the first day of instruction as set forth in the enrollment agreement through the student’s last day of actual attendance, regardless of absences.
- The period of time for a training program is the period set forth in the Enrollment Agreement.
- Tuition must be calculated using the tuition and fees set forth in the Enrollment Agreement and does not include books, educational supplies, or equipment that is listed separately from the tuition and fees.
- Right to Cancellation: Students have the right to cancel this enrollment agreement for three days from the date of signing the agreement for any reason.
- Process for Cancellation: Students can cancel their enrollment via email to the Training Director at info@gemslv.com or in person during regular business hours.
Certification
Upon successfully finishing the program, students will be awarded a certificate indicating their completion of the course. It is important to note that this certificate does not constitute an Emergency Medical Technician certification or a license to practice as an Emergency Medical Technician. Upon program completion, students will have the opportunity to take the written certification exam offered by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Successfully passing this exam will lead to the attainment of Emergency Medical Technician certification.
