- Certification: Upon successful completion of the course and final exam, participants will receive a certification card from the American Safety and Health Institute, valid for two years.

Absolutely! This course is designed for individuals who have no medical training, although we highly recommend that you take a basic first aid course and a CPR/AED course prior to attending.
We do not believe so. This course will serve as a review to your already established base knowledge and will build upon that. In addition, Wilderness First Aid will teach you how to think differently in an austere environment. We will also use your expertise during the class to lead those that do not have as much experience. This course has been approved for CME credit. Please ask your instructor for more information.
We can include CPR/AED. When you register for the class you will have the option to add on CPR/AED.
This class is taught entirely in the classroom. There will be a combination of lectures and hands on skills. Students may be required to get on the ground to treat patients and participate in team lifts. Students are not required to perform any skill they are not physically capable of performing.
