How It Works

Step 1: Train with GEMS

Enroll in either our Modular EMT or EMT Bootcamp program. Complete your training and pass your course.

Step 2: Take the NREMT

Take the NREMT examination through an approved testing center. You have up to 6 times within 6 months of your course completion date to obtain your NREMT.

Step 3: We’ve Got Your Back

If you don’t pass after all 6 attempts, you can choose:

• • A full tuition refund
  • OR a one-time course retake

We also cover the $250 NREMT Refresher Course required to qualify for your 4th–6th attempts.

Terms And Conditions

1. Program Overview
The NREMT Guarantee Program provides qualified students with the option to receive a full tuition refund or a one-time course retake if they are unable to pass the NREMT exam after six (6) attempts within six (6) months of course completion. As part of the Guarantee, GEMS will also cover the required NREMT Refresher Course (valued at $250), which is necessary to take the 4th through 6th attempts.
Note: As part of our Guarantee, GEMS will cover the cost of the required NREMT Refresher Course, which is necessary to take the 4th through 6th attempts of the NREMT exam. This reflects our extraordinary commitment to our students’ long-term success.

2. Tuition Refund Amounts

• Tuition paid to Guardian Elite Medical Services as outlined in the Course Catalog.

3. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the refund, retake, or refresher course coverage:

• The student’s full name must match the name used for NREMT exam registration and payment records.
• The student must successfully complete and pass the EMT program (Modular or Bootcamp).
• The student must not have any outstanding balance at the time of request.
• The student must have completed all 6 NREMT exam attempts within six (6) months of course completion date.
• The student must submit official documentation of the six failed attempts.
• The student must submit the request for refund prior to six (6) months post-course completion date.
• Only the student (not a third party) may request the refund or reimbursement.

4. Exclusions

This Guarantee covers the cost of tuition only. It does not include course materials, lodging, transportation/gas or costs associated with meeting course requirements, including but not limited to:

• NREMT exam fees
• Non-refundable course materials
• Transportation, fuel, or lodging costs
• Quantiferon Gold TB or 2-Step TB test
• Background check (Precheck)
• 10-panel urine drug screen
• Physical Examination
• Valid driver’s license verification
• High School Diploma or equivalency verification
• BLS Provider Certification (non-refundable)
• Health insurance
• Immunizations (Hepatitis B, MMR, Tetanus)
• Influenza vaccination (October 1–March 31)

5. Refund or Retake Process

Refunds will be issued to the original payer via check or ACH within 30 business days after approval. The student may choose one (1) of the following options:

• Tuition refund (Modular or Bootcamp value listed above)
• One-time full course retake at no additional tuition charge

6. Staff Responsibility

• All staff must clearly communicate the terms of the Guarantee during admissions and orientation.
• Admin must validate documentation and process approvals.

7. Policy Changes
Changes to this policy must be approved by the Director of Education and communicated to staff in writing.
