Our curriculum covers a wide range of essential topics, including:

- Intravenous (IV) access
- Medication administration
- Management of pediatric patients
- Management of patients with special considerations
This program is accredited by the Nevada Commission on Post Secondary Education (CPE) and the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD). Upon successful completion of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician program, students will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to take the National Registry AEMT (NRAEMT) exam. Successfully passing the NRAEMT exam will lead to the attainment of Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification.
Program Structure
Our AEMT course is thoughtfully designed as a 17-week, hybrid journey consisting of 181 hours. You will complete:
- Online Course Material (72 hours): Online course material of interactive modules consisting of your eBook, engaging lectures, real-world case studies, scenario-based exercises, and self-paced quizzes and tests.
- In-Person Instruction (85 hours): Led by experienced instructors, our dynamic classroom sessions provide you with a solid foundation in AEMT theory. Engage in interactive discussions, case studies, and real-world scenarios to develop critical decision-making skills. Hands-on lab sessions allow you to apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations. This crucial aspect of training ensures that you’re adept at crucial skills such as advanced patient assessment, medical interventions, and more.
- Clinical Rotation (24 hours): Gain invaluable real-world exposure during 24 hours of clinical rotations, where you’ll work alongside EMS and hospital professionals in live medical settings. This immersive experience bridges the gap between theory and practice, enhancing your readiness for real emergencies.
With a weekly 5-hour class over 17 weeks, we will delve into the dynamic world of Advanced Emergency Medical Technician training and have you prepared for success.
Clinical Requirements
Our clinical partners have very strict requirements in order to do clinical rotations in their facilities. Failure to follow the directions outlined in this document will result in removal from the AEMT program. In order to perform your clinical rotations, you will have to complete and provide proof of the following:
- Current NREMT certification by the start of class
- BLS Provider Certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
- Background check through Precheck
- Quantiferon Gold TB or 2-Step Skin TB test
- School physical exam
- 10-panel urine drug screen
- Valid driver license
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Current health insurance
- Appropriate immunizations (Hep B and MMR)
- Influenza vaccination during flu season (October 1-March 31)
